One of our last remaining Founders and a regular at LOCOG events has died.

Adrian Williams
Adrian, shown here with his wife, Deanne at a summer LCRFC lunch in Fowey, was admitted to Exeter A & E Department, following a fall at home, but tragically died whilst waiting for treatment.
Adrian originally came from St. Agnes on the north Cornwall coast and began his rugby playing career with Redruth RFC before moving to London for work in the early 1960s where he became one of the founding members of London Cornish RFC following a meeting held in the Cock Tavern in Fleet Street in August 1962. Adrian played in the Club’s first ever recorded game later in 1962 along with Andrew Pool, an active member of the current LCRFC group in Cornwall. Adrian was a regular 1st team choice playing at either full back or fly half.
After many years of club service, Adrian left London and spent some years working abroad, notably in East Africa. He returned to the UK and he and Deanne settled in Okehampton, West Devon where he became heavily involved with the local rugby club, Okehampton RFC.
He leaves a widow, Deanne.
Adrian is being cremated at Glynn Valley crematorium, Bodmin, on 6th November at 10.30am. A service of celebration will take place later at St Marys Church, Exbourne, Okehampton EX20 3RX at 2.30 pm to be followed by refreshments at Okehampton RFC. Blazers are welcome at all times throughout the day.
